What kind of graphic/design suitable for T-Shirt Printing?

- If your graphic/design is in the format of (PSD, JPEG), you need to prepare A4[21cm x 29cm] or above, 300dpi Resolution, CMYK Color Format.
- If your graphic/design is a Vector Graphic, then there's no size limitation. (AI, CDR, Flash, EPS format) CMYK Color Format.

Design Plate Calculation

Graphic/Design is based on Palette and Gradient then it forms a graphic on the T-Shirt. Design Plate and Color is all related together.


In this diagram it contains Grassy Green, Orange, Light Blue, and Dark Blue that you can easily sort it out, which is more suitable to Silk Screen Printing Technique. Silk Screen Printing Technique, whereby will create one plate for each color. As the diagram that shows above, it needs four different plates.


Analyze the diagram above in details; it has some slight effects on it. For examples, on the left hand side, the smiling face is wearing a pair of glass from light green to dark green; between these two colors, there are gradient and several colors between it. From the changing part of the light green to dark green at least two plates are needed. For the whole diagram, it needs at least 7 plates to complete the printing, and it makes the cost higher.

Silk Screen Printing Technique is a technique that use for Mass Printing, those T-Shirts that sold in the shops, 90% of it are using Screen Printing Technique to print on the T-Shirt. The main process of Silk Screen Printing Technique is these few steps: Design, Template, Plates, Print and Dry these few steps. Silk Screen Printing Technique uses Chromatic printing style to print it. For example, if a T-Shirt contains Red, Yellow, and Blue, then it needs three different plate; each color one plate.
